Procgen and UI Beginnings
Lately I’ve been doing a lot of working regarding procedural generation for the missions and I just recently started to get involved in UI and Menus. My favorite thing that I have worked on so far is the Mission Generator, which takes inputs from cards that the master player chooses and generates a level. The size of the level is based on how many cards the player chooses and I’ve put in safeguards to make sure that the player cannot submit an invalid Mission Deck that doesn’t have enough cards or doesn’t have the right combination of cards.
I’m also very happy with the menu system I’ve drafted out and started implementing. Ideally it will make things easier for myself and other team members to implement UI related mechanics while being able to focus on the mechanic as opposed to organizing UI because they can’t implement the mechanic without it. My next steps are to continue polishing some of the main placeholder UI elements and to start working on the Booster Pack feature.
